Data collection as a teacher is essential, especially in the system we have now which relies on the data collected from tests, and surveys to determine the effectiveness and capabilities as a teacher. For my class I would use it to determine how to direct my teaching, and work for my students. I believe classrooms should be a collaboration between students and teachers, and  therefore  they should have some kind of say in their work, the same objects, just different paths to get there. 9th and 10th graders are more than capable of communicating these ideas, and filling out surveys about homework, types of projects, and essays for our English class. When viewing my classmates pages I found it interesting how differently they would see the same assignments.
